Some funnies.

Pierce has been saying some funny things lately, here are a few....

Couple days ago, out of the blue

"Mommy when you die Piercy's gonna be so sad"

(I'm thinking how sad/sweet he knows he would miss his mommy, I need to go hug him, but he clarifys himself)

"You wont be here to make me food anymore. I'll have to cook and I'll get burned"

.
.
.
I started back to Jazzercise this week and of course I take the kids. When we were leaving today Pierce was walking through the room where we work out and says
"Mommy it smells in here"
"Oh yeah, what's it smell like?"
"It smells like excercise"
.
.
.
I also started the choir this week, and in order to prepare for this Sunday's song I've been listening to the song over and over this week.
Naturally the kids start to sing along. Here's part of the song...
"We are not ashamed, no we are not ashamed of the GOSPEL....."
Here's what I hear Pierce belting out...
"We are not ashamed, no we are not ashamed of the GOLF BALL......"

What does she eat?

My daughter, Miss Hope Elizabeth 21 months old likes to eat the following:

Cole Slaw
Raw Brocolli
Raw Cauliflower
Tossed Salad

Those are just the things I think are the most strange for a child under two years old.

Today I offered her a marshmallow and she saw that I was fixing myself a salad and said "no mallow" and then pointed to mommy's salad. She wanted a salad over a marshmallow, I just find that incredible.

**On a side note, Pierce was stuck in a jam today and I heard him yelling "Lord help me" ....How funny is that?!?

SNOW!!!

Had to get out in the snow today and play a little bit. Pierce had fun, but as you will see Hope was not impressed at all!! She's all girl that's for sure :)

Playing Outside in January.

Come January/February "cabin fever" is usually pretty bad, so yesterday when it was in the 50's outside we took that opportunity to get out and run off some energy. Enjoy......

My cutie....
Thinking about what she can get into...

Mark, set, go....

Showing off his skills with a ball...

Running with a stick (I know bad idea)

And of course running away from mommy and her crazy camera ;)

Did I really sat that?? Also, what did he say??

Here's to all the moms, and all those times we've said things that made us realize we have turned into our mothers.....

Scenario: Eating dinner with a four year old, who as always is picky. A mommy who is fed up with making dinner and sitting down with children who pick, pick, pick....

Me : "Pierce you eat that food"
Pierce: "Mommy I do not like sketti"
Me: "Pierce take a few bites"
Pierce: "Mommy I have it under control" (what the ?@#$)
Me: "Look Pierce there are starving children in Africa who would love to eat that
sketti" (again, what the....)

At the moment those words came out my mouth I realized I had turned into a real mom. While of course it is true there are starving children (and I'm not trying to make light of that, ) it was just such a mom moment......

Our house.

I guess it was sometime in the summer that we discovered a leak in the bathroom. This leak ended up taking out our whole bathroom out (fine by me) so this is how the transformation of our house began. We've lived in this home for 6 years and this is the first time that I've really taken on changing almost every room. I finally got finished in January. Thought I'd post some pics of the finished product. Maybe later I'll do some "before" photos.
I love to decorate and transform and the whole process. Maybe one day I will be able to do this for others. FUN!!

This is the room that started the whole thing....
Where the magic happens ;)

Next few are Hope's room....

I love the butterfly sheer.

Also love these cute letters....
