It's our last day here.

Sadly, today is our last day here.

I'm going to miss the ocean.

Especially watching my family out there, getting whipped around.

And I will miss hanging with Hope on the beach, watching her make sand castles, and just play her heart out.

I'm going to miss us being silly together.

And I will certainly miss all the good food and treats we've eaten.

Mostly, I will miss the quality time I've had with my family.

Just us. No work. Nothing taking us here and there.

And by gosh, I will miss our squinty eyed photos. We may not win the typical beautiful beach photo award, but this is SO us.

You gotta know when to hold em, fold em, walk away, run, and get out your cell.

Last night, a fierce poker battle began.

With Paul, being the bossy pants of the group.

Teen boys, might not look so interested, but they were game. For like all of .5 seconds.
There were important girls to text.

While Paul pulled a serious poker move, and tried to hide all emotion behind the shades. He's ridonk.

Annnnnnnnd back to the phones.

 Brief moments without said phones.
But alas, the phone won. God bless teenagers!

It was a water park kinda day.

We decided Wednesday would be a good day to venture out and try something different. We debated back and forth for days. One minute it was jet ski's, next the local water park. In the end we finally decided on the water park, and I'm so glad that we did.

A few things to note.

We spent a good portion of our life savings today.

It was disturbing to be sharing the same circulated pool water with some of the peeps there.

It was EXTREMELY busy.

All those factors aside, it was a blast!

My big boy here, ventured off with his daddy and rode the BIG boy slides. Like for reals, big. Unfortunately, I couldn't get pictures of those, because I would have inevitably ruined my camera. As a mom blogger, this feels like a real fail on my part.

So, Hope and I went and found some sweet smaller kid stuff to do.

She was too sweet!

And I think these slides gave her the courage to try out some bigger stuff.

We played, we goofed off, we killed time.

And when we met up with daddy and Pierce later, she had mustered up more courage. Enough to try this...

By this point in the day, we were all together. Such fun!

And it was awesome to watch Hope whiz on down these, time after time.

And Pierce seemed like such a big kid today.

But I guess, this place kind of brought the kid out in all of us.

Even mommy.

But the highlight of the day for me?

Enjoying this sweet moment with my little one. You know how long it's been since she's done this?  Waaaay too long. I was in heaven.

Loving our water park day.

About traveling with teens.

Yesterday was another day of mostly the same.

SWIM.SWIM.SWIM.

After another full day at the water, we all loaded up for some action packed putt putt.

Kids did pretty good at the game, and Pierce even got a hole-in-one!

Hope was a hoot at the game. She just kind of made it up as she went along.
I, in my typical, I have no athletic ability form, did not win.
After our riveting game, the kids wanted to try out some other activities.
We headed first to the track to drive carts.
We waited, and waited, and waited.

And then once it was time to get going, the fear set in for Hope.
She was very apprehensive all of a sudden.
I think she was more interested in rides HER size.

And even carts for Pierce's size. FUN!
Such a fun night!

But let me tell you something about traveling with teens. Oh, the mood swings. When one is up, the other seems to be down. And even when they are both up, you must contend with their first priority.
Their phones are in hand at ALL times.

Now, they bust me out for my twitter, blog, Facebook, etc, and tell me I'm JUST as bad, but there is NO way. It's honestly like an appendage. They really are sweet boys, and I know if I would have had this available to me as a teen? I would have been the queen of it.

On the schedule today? Water park!!
