When we moved away two years ago, Tracey and I made a pledge to get together for "us" time, every three months.
Of course, there are other visits here and there, but we really try to honor this three moth rule.
And you can only imagine the build-up to these visits. We usually start texting each other with the countdown around a month to go, until we FINALLY reach the day....
I just had to tweet my excitement!
And finally the time was here! We were back together!
As with ALL our visits, they usually center around a few central activities.
A) Food.
Oh my word.As I type this, I'm still in a salt/sugar coma with a distended belly. I'm waiting on the visiting nurses association to show up and roll me over.
So, I guess it was a good thing that shopping was B on the agenda.
At least we walked SOME of our salt and sugar off.
Because WALK we did...
On Saturday we went strong for 7 hours.
We know how to push past the pain when it comes to the art of the shopping experince. Just when you begin to ache and shake, head for a coke and pretzel. Rest with the elderly if need be. Wear your comfy shoes. Because the mall needs you to be on your best game. PUUUUUSH through it.
If you ever need a shopping coach? Invite G and T along.
But the main thing on our agenda is ALWAYS the same.
Spending time together...
Britt joined up one nigh too, you know, for more FOOD.
Taking an ungodly amount of pictures is always necessary too. (Note the rooster on T's head)
My favorite thing about our friendship?
There is NEVER any drama between us.
It's just an easy, fun friendship.
We miss each other dearly, but I'm so thankful for these memories we get to make.
Until January!!
And thank you to Paul, for taking care of the babies, while Tracey and I went and played.
January! January! January!!
