I've been open before about some embarrassing moments, but that was because we were all sharing. This time I just decided, why not? Isn't this what makes us all human?
Picture it:
Me in my dress, tights and boots, just dropped the kids off at Sunday School and me needing a little restroom break as I make my way to the college class.
I do my business, wash my hands, fluff my hair, and I'm all good.
I walk three looooooooong hallways, and I'm just about to head into a classroom filled with college students, when a friend calls my name...
"Hey Gretchen, come here"
"Hey, what's up?"
"Um, well, the back of your dress seems to be, um, tucked into your tights."
I slowly reach my hand up my backside, when much to my horror I feel that my dress is indeed bunched ALL THE WAY UP, so that my rear is being exposed.
You guys, I had just walked THREE LOOOOOOONG HALLWAYS.
But I chose to see the positive in this and praise that sweet baby Jesus that someone stopped me before I entered a room full of 65 college students.
Yes, I guess it could have been worse.

You may never love me again.
With the evil flu diagnosis, Hope and I have obviously spent a lot of time sequestered indoors snuggling and watching movies, but I eventually started to get bored. I could only sit and watch so much television, and I'm thinking it was during our umpteenth viewing of Tangled, that I decided I should get up and be productive.
And so I began to do something that I've needed to do for quite some time. And then I thought, hey why not blog it?
Honestly? You wouldn't believe all the things I consider blogging. About 75% of the time though I talk myself out of it, but this gem? Well I suffered, and so should you. It's not riveting, but hey, it's all I've got.
But I must be honest. You may never love me again.
Because this.is.bad.
But this is real life and I'm not trying to paint a picture of me that isn't real, this is just me.
Are you ready?
You guys, this is what my pantry looked like.....
OH EM GEE, I KNOW. I KNOW!
I'm sorry mom.
I'm so proud!
And I vow to do my best to keep it like this.
But I also have 3 other hooligans that live here and help mess it up.
But I do vow, along with my wallet, to keep this straight! 2013 is my year baby!
I was feeling so inspired that I didn't stop at the pantry, I also tackled the refrigerator! I went through all the old stuff and scrubbed it down, goooood.
I'm still mad about this evil medicine sitting here.
Considering that some of Paul's medicine is THOUSANDS of dollars, I'm not sure why 200 has bothered me so much, BUT IT HAS.
I know this could possibly be the most boring post ever.
So, I will end with a few tidbits about the kids.
Thankfully Pierce has remained healthy
And spunky.
And Hope?
She's baaaaaaack!
And we are all happy about that!
Off to go organize something....

The countdown to JBJ is on.
Part of me feels like I should qualify or explain what I'm about to post, but surely if you know me, you know this is in fun. So here goes...
There are a few basic facts that most people know about me, the same way I'm sure most people know the basics about YOU.
For instance, I'm a christian, my nickname is Gin or G, I like to dance, I cry easily, my earrings are large, I have two children whom I adore, I have a husband whom I've given many nicknames, and I have this teeny-tiny obsession with one known as, Jon Bon Jovi. You know, just the basic common knowledge stuff.
Everyone knows this about me, but especially my family. My dad emailed me an article about him just last night....
When I see a picture of him, I still get that school girl feeling
That exact one that began in 1986, as I've already discussed before.
THIS is the group that got this chubby girl to perk up and pay attention.
And here we are, 27 years later, and I'm still paying attention.
We have a date with destiny on March 17, and I may be slightly excited about this. OH MY GAW.
I haven't seen them in concert in many years, and who knows, this may be my last JBJ concert e-ver. So a countdown to JBJ is on....SQUEEEEEE!

Confessions
I've seen lots of other blogs do this. The blogger kind of confesses to some things, that they maybe wouldn't otherwise admit, and I think they are fun! I've decided to give it a go!
*I've always thought the show the Bachelor/Bachelorette was duuuuuuumb. I mean, ridiculous! Yet, last season Tracey and I got sucked into watching the Bachelorette. (Tracey I am taking you down with me) I found myself excited for it each week, and was rooting for one particular guy, like it actually made me nervous she wouldn't pick him. Tracey and I would text each other each week about it, "Ashley, is getting on my nerves, I mean quit crying already." And dare I admit more? Okay...I have my DVR set for the Bachelor this season. Heaven help me.
*I round brush Hope's hair after every bath. Like, sit her down and make her sit there while I round brush it. It feels very Toddler's and Tiaraesque.
*Speaking of Toddler's and Tiara's. Hope has INCREDIBLE eyelashes, like the kind you dream of. One day I put mascara on her. I KNOW.
*Sometimes when I hear the kids arguing, I pretend I don't, just so I don't have to deal with it.
*My favorite thing to do when both the kids are in school? Crank up my 80's and 90's music and dance away. I guess it kinda takes me back to being younger and carefree. Yet, I'm reminded of my age, when the running man makes me get out of breath now.
*I never drank coffee until I turned 30 years old. But, in that 7 years I've become, well obsessed. When I go to bed each night, I can't help but think how excited I am to get up in the morning and have a cup.
*If I had the means, I really think I could be a shopaholic. Like, hit the stores up every.single.day. Buy stuff for me, the house, the kids, my family, etc. Shopping is up there with coffee. It excites me.
Okay, I think that will be all for this time.
Shew! I feel better now. :-) Come on fellow bloggers....fess up.
