What does she eat?

My daughter, Miss Hope Elizabeth 21 months old likes to eat the following:

Cole Slaw
Raw Brocolli
Raw Cauliflower
Tossed Salad

Those are just the things I think are the most strange for a child under two years old.

Today I offered her a marshmallow and she saw that I was fixing myself a salad and said "no mallow" and then pointed to mommy's salad. She wanted a salad over a marshmallow, I just find that incredible.

**On a side note, Pierce was stuck in a jam today and I heard him yelling "Lord help me" ....How funny is that?!?

Had to get out in the snow today and play a little bit. Pierce had fun, but as you will see Hope was not impressed at all!! She's all girl that's for sure :)

Playing Outside in January.

Come January/February "cabin fever" is usually pretty bad, so yesterday when it was in the 50's outside we took that opportunity to get out and run off some energy. Enjoy......

My cutie....
Thinking about what she can get into...

Mark, set, go....

Showing off his skills with a ball...

Running with a stick (I know bad idea)

And of course running away from mommy and her crazy camera ;)

Did I really sat that?? Also, what did he say??

Here's to all the moms, and all those times we've said things that made us realize we have turned into our mothers.....

Scenario: Eating dinner with a four year old, who as always is picky. A mommy who is fed up with making dinner and sitting down with children who pick, pick, pick....

Me : "Pierce you eat that food"
Pierce: "Mommy I do not like sketti"
Me: "Pierce take a few bites"
Pierce: "Mommy I have it under control" (what the ?@#$)
Me: "Look Pierce there are starving children in Africa who would love to eat that
sketti" (again, what the....)

At the moment those words came out my mouth I realized I had turned into a real mom. While of course it is true there are starving children (and I'm not trying to make light of that, ) it was just such a mom moment......

Our house.

I guess it was sometime in the summer that we discovered a leak in the bathroom. This leak ended up taking out our whole bathroom out (fine by me) so this is how the transformation of our house began. We've lived in this home for 6 years and this is the first time that I've really taken on changing almost every room. I finally got finished in January. Thought I'd post some pics of the finished product. Maybe later I'll do some "before" photos.
I love to decorate and transform and the whole process. Maybe one day I will be able to do this for others. FUN!!

This is the room that started the whole thing....
Where the magic happens ;)

Next few are Hope's room....

I love the butterfly sheer.

Also love these cute letters....

Paul and the kiddos

Just wanted to share some of more pics of my family. Like any good mommy/wife I'm proud of them and like to brag and sometimes I just like to show them off!!!

Bathtime fun!!!
My cutie pie...

Paul and the kiddos. Pierce thought it was funny to pretend he was picking his nose.

My honey ;)

Bunco at my pad.

Let's see, I think it was July or August that Jill invited Tracey to join a bunco group with her and then Tracey asked if I would join too. Since then we've gotten to know a great group of girls and it's a blast. January was my month to host and we decided we would do a "p.j. party" so that explains why we are all in our pajamas. We also made breakfast food and it was de-licious!! Also, looks like that our other good friend Jami is going to be joining now too, Yea!!

Here's the whole group....Melissa, Dee Dee, Carla, Gretchen, Mary, Jill, Tina, Jenna, April, Jami, Tracey and Misty.

Jill, Misty and Melissa....

Few More Christmas pics....

We have 365 days in a year. What are the odds that you get sick on Christmas day? I would say pretty small.... Well, I managed to be one of the lucky ones who was sick on Christmas day. It was still a great day, but I unfortunately had to bow out for a while.

Also, a few more pics that I thought were pretty cute :)

This is how I spent most of the day.....
My mom... Hopie and aunt Jo-Jo feeding her baby.

Just love this one. Hope wasn't so sure what to think about these at first, but now she thinks they are pretty swell.

This one cracks me up. His eyes peeking out....

Playing Kitchen and Baby Dolls...

When I was a little girl I was all about playing house. You know baby dolls and kitchen and all that girly stuff. So you can imagine my joy when I found out I was having a girl, "oh boy she can play baby dolls and house" Well this is the year that all my (I mean Hope's) dreams came true. A sweet kitchen, baby dolls, and all the fun stuff to go along..... I (I mean Hope) having been having a lot of fun playing.....
