Why did I think this was a good idea??

Okay, I will blame Alicia, Jami, and my mom.

Alicia and Jami, because I watched you guys make it look so fun and just like an infomercial, I knew that I just HAD to do that with my kids. Then my mom for buying it for my kids. So, all you guys, it's your fault that I ended up in such a mess today.

At least I had the smarts to strip em' down.
It starts innocent enough..

Then it starts taking a turn...

Then there's NO turning back.

Your children are painting each other.

It was an insane mess, but a blast!!! Thanks mom, for the paint, the kids loved it :)

Kids never change....

Have you ever noticed that some things about kids are universal?? I mean that kids have been doing them forever, and almost all kids love to do them, it's just the life cycle of kids.

You know when it snows, all kids want to make snowmen and sled, and when it's hot, kids want to swim and play water guns. Just something I imagine kids have always and will always want to do.

I mean all kids love water stuff, right???

Right?????

OK, maybe not ALL kids, but most anyways ;)

And don't all kids love getting their parents wet??

What a great day for water fun!!

I think I know where Hope got her bawling ways, after this, I was toast and was whining all day about it ;)

The good Lord did not bless me with athletic genes.

So, this month's topic is "what's your favorite sport and why"

First of all, let me tell you, as my title states, I AM NOT ATHLETIC. Nope, hardly at all. My sister, well she took all those genes, and what was left for me was the artsy-fartsy stuff. I was in band, choir, drama class, pom-pon squad, and I'm sure if I would have been put in dance, I would have LOVED it. I guess my only redeeming factor for sports, is that I played tennis in high school. Was I great? No, not even close. I would say more like mediocre, but hey, I at least I tried ;) So, while I may be ready to show you my jazz hands, and sing you a show tune, I can say that I do enjoy sports.

So, what is my favorite????? Pro-football!!!!!!!

There's just something about football that I enjoy. I love that time of year, the sound of it on in the background, the food that accompanies it..... So maybe, I'm not a huge football fan per say, but more of all that accompanies it. I've also really come to enjoy the Colts, and let me tell you what a controversy that is in our house!! We are a house divided.

I also don't think College basketball is too bad either. Take me to a game and I'll probably spend more time watching the cheerleaders doing their thang', but overall I think basketball is a fun game to watch.

So, there, you see, while I'm not the girl you'd pick to have on your team, I am a girl you can take with you to the games. I promise I wont roll my eyes, and say how boring it is a thousand times, BUT don't be surprised if I try and do my best hitch-kick with the cheerleaders.

Don't judge me.

So, I'm about to tell you guys a deep, dirty little secret. (Well it's not a secret to everyone) But here I am, about to spill it out to blogger-land.....

Are you ready??

Hope is done with her paci.

Yep, my daughter took her paci until she was 3 years old. Over 3 years old really. I can hear the gasps. I know, I know, it's old to take a paci, but well, what can I say? I'm a wimp about those kind of things.

Taking it away has actually gone really well. Now, she still has her "blankey" and let me tell you, I will not be taking that away!!! I don't care if she's a grown woman with her blankey. (cause I've known grown women like that, cough, cough)

So, there it is, my confession. Shew, I feel better ;)

"Happy Valentines Day Mommy"

Yep, that's the greeting I was awakened to this morning, "Happy Valentines Day Mommy!!!!"
Once there was a little explanation made, I then heard "Happy Mothers Day Mommy!!!!" Who cares that it was wrong, I knew what the little sweeties meant ;)

Pierce was so sweet. He told me all day long "you don't have to do a thing today, I'll get you whatever you need" God love his little heart. He must have asked me 25 times, "you need anything mom?" Love that little guy.

Yes, this is the 5Th Mother's Day I have celebrated as a mom. I have to say each one seems to get sweeter. What a gift it is to be called "mom"

The kids made me all these things at Church today. I have a feeling I'll be keeping these forever. He offered. Hey, who was I to deny him?? Oh, and if you're wondering, yes I do feed him.

Mother's Day dinner was at Kansai. YUM. Me and my sis :)

My mom and my bro..... I feel like I should break into "Ebony and Ivory".....

Nathan and little buddy.

At this point she was still happy...

Working the chopsticks

This girl had it down, and she was digging that salad...

I mean, look at that mouth!!!

But see this fire???

That fire caused this...... and she never fully recovered.
So, after we had all eaten enough calories to sustain us for the rest of the month, we headed for some ice cream. I mean why not?? Here's my men, at their own table "the man table" as Pierce told me.

Pink ice cream, helped with the Kansai trauma.
Oh, and a little snuggle time from her Pawpaw.
Three mama's.....Thanks mom for all you've done for me through the years. You never really know what a mom does until you have your own.

So, let me end with my gifts!!! I mean those two crazy, beautiful, drive me to drink some days, I would die without them, children sitting in my lap. Best thing I've EVER been given. Happy Valentines Day everyone.....er, I mean.....HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!!

Let the t-ball madness begin

So, it's that time of year again!!! T-ball!!

Pierce's first year playing was last year, and I can tell a huge difference in just one year. He doesn't need the "t" to hit the ball and he's really beginning to understand the fundamentals of the game. I'm not gonna lie....I think t-ball, or baseball, are both pretty brutal, but Pierce said he wanted to play, so if my boy wants to play, he'll play.

Ready for some action.

Look at all these little people lined up. Cute.

Praying before the game, I love that the boys take off their hats ;)

Running into home...

Oh, and just because it's my blog, and I think they are the cutest in the land ;)

Who needs sunshine???

Oh dreary days...boo hoo....we need sunshine and warmth, so we can play outside.

Well according to Rico, we can play in the rain too. Say what??? And mess up my hair?? I'll pass.....

Well, look who got a big kick out of stomping around in the rain...Look how deep this is!!! They could about go swimming. Maybe you'll see us out there on rafts, with fruity drinks.
Kids loving it, mama hating it.
I'm glad Rico is here so the kids have more fun. If it were up to me, we'd stay inside and put on lip gloss and practice dance moves.

So really, who needs sunshine??
