Little turkey head.

I almost forgot to post this!!! Pierce's school invited all the families for "thanksgiving dinner" the week before turkey day. I don't know about the rest of you mom's, but this is the kind of thing that I always wanted to do as a mom!! Go to programs and lunches and have your kids all excited to see you!!! He was so cute walking down the hall with his little turkey head. The food was, uhem, TERRIBLE, but I choked it down with pleasure. ;-)

Thanksgiving 2010.

We just got back to Bowling Green tonight, we left for the Promised Land on Wednesday after work. I only have but one single picture to share, I know that's lame, but that's what I have. It was a great trip back, there were a few hiccups, but I'll just stick with the positive. We all ended up together (even though we are missing Paul's side of the family!!!) the food was wonderful, and I ate enough calories to sustain me until January. I was able to go out with my sister one night, and friends another night. Did some shopping with my mom, and did some relaxing. Paul got his share of movies in, and he said it felt like a "mini vacation" for him. Overall, really nice!! Now, we are all back at it tomorrow.

So sweet.

Pierce's reading and writing has really taken off!! He loves to spend time writing lists, and learning to spell words, and when I saw this, I just couldn't help thinking how sweet this is ;-)

Weekend fun.

Had a weekend here in B.G., seems like we haven't had that many since we moved here. It was pretty good. Still don't know hardly anyone, but we have fun as a little family :-)

Took the kids to see MegaMind in 3D. Pretty cute flick. There was a grooming lesson, while getting ready for church. ;)
And we were all gussied up. Rico and his clone.

And there was lots of dressing up this weekend. Oh and bawling about it too. We watched Beauty and the Beast and Hope realized she doesn't have a "Belle dress" and lost it. Oh, the drama.
Oh, and there was also this Patriots and Colts game. That made for an interesting evening ;)

So, here's to a short week, and stuffing out faces on Thursday!!!!

Sassy pants gets a haircut.

I had been dwelling and chewing on the idea of cutting Hope's hair for some time. You have a little girl, and it's such the big deal how you keep her hair. Hope has pretty thin/fine hair, and the longer it gets, it just kind of hangs and strings. So, I decided to get it cut in a bob. I wasn't so sure at first, but I love it!! It looks much thicker, hangs nicer and it's just cute!!!

Oh, and she loves it!!!

A cornucopia of goodness.

I just have a little hodge podge of goodness, a cornucopia if you will, of some goings ons.

My dad e-mailed me this picture. This is from me and my brothers birthday party. My brother and I have always shared birthday parties. My brother is November 18th, I am the 17th, we are one day shy of 9 years apart. I like this picture because almost all of us are here, my nephew (my brothers son) is at work, but even my dads sister is here.
The actual night of my birthday, I had a nice little surprise waiting for me :)
Look what I got!!!! That's right, I got my coffee maker. Woot. (I.AM.OLD)
(If you have ADD this post is perfect for you) Proud of my little man, for making it across the monkey bars...
Look at him go!!!!
And lastly....look at these super cute earrings.....well, there is a WHOLE STORY behind these puppies, and the night I got them ;) I do believe that Tracey will be posting about this whole crazy night later. So, I'll leave it to her to tell. Thanks for them Tracey, I love them!!!

It was good. Then it was bad.

The weekend was good. Then it was bad.

We had plans to come down and celebrate my, COUGH, COUGH, 36th birthday, GULP. How can I be heading to 40????.....Okay, back to the subject. We came down to the land of milk and honey on Friday, I was able to have a meal with my BFF, and it was a fun night!!! Saturday, I got my hair did, celebrated my birthday, hung out with my fam, an overall great day, until Saturday night. Pierce started coughing LOTS, by Sunday morning he was wheezing and having a hard time getting his breathe. Then the puking started. UGH. So, Sunday morning we were at Urgent Care, then driving home Sunday with a sick boy. It was pitiful!!! I have him home from school today, but he seems to be on the mend finally. Now we wait, and see if it makes the rounds....

My do. I believe I'm starting to resemble a soccer mom.

A little birthday celebration for a WOMAN heading to 40!!!!!Poor boy, his oxygen levels were low, we had to do breathing treatments in the office.

And you know a 6 year old is sick, when they sleep all day long. I just hate it when my kids are sick!!! I know all us moms feel that way. Hopefully this isn't a long winter with sickies.

Don't Hate.

Our Christmas Tree is up....

I know lots of people hate on the early tree people. We are early tree people. No room for hate here ;-)

Because you all (Jaime Mac) have asked.

All my loyal stalkers out there have been asking for pics of the place (Jaime Mac) and since I don't want to disappoint anyone (Jaime Mac) I will show you what you've asked for.

This is hard for me people!!! Not everything is done, and I'm kind of a perfectionist, but because I'm a pleaser I will show you what's done.....

Walking in this is what you see.....This is looking into the master suite ;)
Master bath.
Where it all gets done. HA HA.
Other direction in master room.
Living room from kitchen.
Kitchen view from living room.
Hope's room. We had to rearrange her room, because of a nightmare she had. Now the "bad Halloween" can't get her with her bed like this.

Looking in to Hope's room. Kids rooms are really blah right now. Lots to be done!!!
Semi-view of Pierce's room. BLAH!!!
Kid's bathroom!!!So, there you go!!!! A look at the new pad. When I get things cuter I will re-update!!!

Halloween 2010!!

I'm playing catch up.....

Halloween this year was a little strange. It's weird to try and figure out what to do with your kids when you don't really know anyone. We made the most of it though, and the kids had fun.

Hope for months was saying she wanted to be Cinderella for Halloween. Pierce said a pirate.

We did go to a party at our complex. There was snacks and pumpkin painting. A little awkward, but kids liked it.Hope jumped right in to paint.

It took Pierce a little longer, but with the help of dad he joined in.
Little cuties.

Oh and a little wardrobe change here. Hope decided later in the day to become sleeping beauty, and Pierce changed his hat. He looks like he should work at Long Johns Silvers. Oh, and insert camera camera broke, so no actual trick or treating pics. Is it just me, or do I always have technical difficulties?!?!?

So, here it finally is!!!! The end of our epic weekend. THE event's that we had been discussing for WEEKS, and I do mean, WEEKS!!!! On Saturday we loaded up and headed to big, bad Dinosaur World. (Kick your feet up, there's a lot pics, forgive me people, I know I'm obnoxious)

Here we are, waiting in the gift shop. See Pierce's wandering eyes, he couldn't focus. Ready to go!!!!

Finally time to check out some COOL creatures.Pierce knows his stuff!!! He was letting me know all about these guys.

Of course, we had to stop and read about all these fellas.
Seriously, think if one these suckers was walking around. Heck, I'm scared of big dogs, this would do me in.
Oh, and there were mammoth's too!!!Here's the big guy you can see from the expressway!!! Woot!!

Oh, and you see this bug guy here.....
...Pierce, unfortunately got a little too close. ;)They have neat fossil digs for the kids. I thought it was like a giant kitty litter box, but the kids loved it.
Maybe a future career??

I don't see this as a possible career for Hope, unless they are digging up lip gloss.
Check out Rico....doing what he does best.
Pappaw playing with his ONLY granddaughter!! ANOTHER fossil dig. This one though, you actually get to keep 3 real fossils!! Too cool!!
This here was Pierce's big purchase!! He had been saving his money for weeks, so he could buy something at Dinosaur World. It was a long, hard decision, but well worth it :) Dinosaur World was a lot of fun!!!
And the other thing Pierce requested was that we eat at that place where they "have fire and throw food"
He was excited....

....On the other hand, you see what Hope thought about it. Time for cake!!! He was cracking up at our horrific singing!!!

Then a few presents from mommy and daddy!!
WOW!!! It seems like we celebrated his birthday for DAYS. Maybe we were trying to over compensate for moving, or not having any friends for him here?? I don't know, but he was worth it.

I mentioned that my parents were here for the weekend, well on Sunday it was my mom's birthday. Pierce missed my moms birthday by 2 days. So, I cooked (yes, I actually did) for my parents and we had a celebration for her as well!!
Presents for my mom!!!

So, there it is. Our epic weekend!!!! I'm thankful that my parents were here to celebrate with us, and that our little man got to see his dinosaurs!! Oh, and I asked Pierce later, "you know mommy's birthday is next, what will you do for me" "Mom, I'm taking you to Wal-Mart" HA HA!!!
