Not exactly sure what I did, so let me talk about my boy...

I just did a post about my nephew and his 25th birthday. I had a cute pic of Pierce in it, and somehow I deleted it?? Since I couldn't figure it out, I just decided to a post for him. Why?? Well, because I'm his mommy and I can, and also because in 2 weeks, he will be starting kindergarten.

I remember when he was a baby thinking "this is gonna take forever" HA!!!

Now he's ready to start school. Not gonna lie, it's gonna be a sad day for me.

A sur-prise party, and well some pics of some cute people.

So, my dear nephew Christopher turned 25. I was 10 years old when he was born, so he was more like a sibling than a nephew. Now he's a man of 25 years. His wife had a surprise par-tay for him on Saturday night, and I got some cute pics, so enjoy the show.

Coming in, and realizing the joke was on him!!! His doll of a wife Jaclyn. So follow me for a second....I was 10 when Christopher was born. Christopher was 10 was Cody was born. Cody was 10 when Pierce was born. SOOOO, in order to follow with the timeline I have told Jaclyn she has to have a baby when Pierce is 10. She has 5 years to warm her womb up to that one.

Ready to party

Seriously, look at this face...

She just knows that she's cute.

Happy Birthday to my "baby" nephew.

I've crossed over to the dark side

So, here's the deal. I fought for years, to NOT read the "Twilight series" first of all, I thought it sounded hideous, I mean really vampires??? It actually held zero interest of mine, and then when everybody and their brother started freaking out about it, I actually lost more interest. It's just a thing, I don't like to do what everyone else is doing. So, for years I held out. I guess you see where this is going.....

After some serious "pressure" from a couple friends and a niece, I broke down and started to read them. I am not a serious reader, so when I saw the size of these books I was immediately discouraged, and when I first started Twilight I was actually bored. It wasn't until about halfway through the almost 500 page book, that it clicked and I crossed over. I am now about halfway done with New Moon, and let me tell you, I am loving me some vampires. It's a sickness. I am a 35 year old lunatic woman, who actually was crying yesterday when, well, I won't say anymore just in case there's anyone else who is ready to cross over with me....

What we've been up to...

So, we've been busy....

Of course the last weekend was the long holiday and the 4th. It was so nice to have Rico home for 3 whole days. We went to see Toy Story 3, went to a parade in Jeff, had a cookout with my sister, and then her boys came over and we set off fireworks, played bad mi ton, ate ice cream, and then went to see fireworks in Sellersburg. We also all went swimming as a family on Monday. Seriously, for the first time in probably 7 or 8 years, I'm getting a tan. I didn't know my body still knew how to do it.

Some funnies about the kids:

*Pierce cut his hair today. He came to me and said "mommy, I cut my hair" Of course I had a mini stroke for a second, but couldn't get very upset, since I did the same thing when I was his age. His explanation "I want this thing gone (pointing to his giant calic) daddy doesn't have one, and I don't like it"

*The other day Hope told me she put Katie in the closet. Of course I asked why she would put her friend in a closet, and she told me "I don't love her anymore"

*Oh, also Hope told me "I'm not sure I love Jesus" (that'll make you feel like a bad mommy)

*Okay, this one isn't about the kids, but I agreed to read the Twilight books, or maybe I should say, I'll try them out. Holy Moly, the pressure from the fellow Twihards, I don't know that I can handle the pressure!!!!!!!!!!

Here's a few pics, from our doings. I have no clue why the last few turned out small. I soooo, don't know what I'm doing ;-)

At the parade in Jeff

OMG, Hope was having a stroke at first over the fireworks. Totally flipped. We wouldn't let her go inside and eventually she warmed up, by the end of the night she was watching the big ones, clapping and declaring "I'm such a brave girl" ;-)
Waiting on the big fireworks!!!

Yeah, so these are lame, but it's our fun swimming adventures. Now some want to give me a hard time about my days at the pool (you know who you are) but this just happens to be a perk of parenting ;-)

Yeah, I'm not so computer savvy, but thanks to my smartie pants friends, I just figured out how to get my mobile uploads from Facebook to my blog!! So, this isn't so much a post, as it is just a shout out to my homies. The picture quality isn't great, but here's my adorbale babes. I will do more later :)
