Flashback Friday!

First and foremost: TWO MORE DAYS.

Now I can move on.

My dad e-mailed me two pictures this week that are just so sweet, and I wanted to share.

I am a sentimental softie, and whenever I see pictures of someone when they were little, it makes me sad. I'm not sure if that's normal, but that's what I do.

Especially pictures of my parents little...my sweet little mom....

And my sweet little dad.

I really have nothing else to say about these pictures, except that they makes me sad. Which is dumb.

And speaking of dumb, my nephew graduates high school this weekend, and that is dumb. (And by dumb, I mean sad.)

We are headed up to the land that flows with milk-and-honey so we can sit through a boring graduation.

But that's what love does, it sits through boring graduations just so you can hear that one special name called.

Have a good weekend my bloggy people!

Only 3 days left!

For the first time since I birthed two children, I have a j-o-b. (I realize I may have mentioned that a time or two before.)

And since that j-o-b requires I work a week after school is finished, I for the first time have been in the position that SO MANY women are faced with daily.

What do I do with my kids?

Lucky for me, I work with these really cool people who actually let me bring the kids in with me. And you know if they are gonna be at work, THEY HAD BETTER WORK

I just love how they humor me...

But I also have awesome friends who offer to watch my kids for me. I'm talking to you Brittany and Cindy!

Wednesday the kids gladly headed over to Brittany's house for the day, and I just gotta say what a treat it is to get pictures like this all day...

You just have a better day when you know that the kids are having fun.

And in the words of Hope, "this was the funnest day ever!"

Even though Pierce is all reserved back there, he had a fun day as well.

Hope's enthusiasm is always obvious.

But I guess because Pierce is getting older, all that is beginning to change a little.

But he's already asking when they can go back.

It just warms my heart to see this. And dare I say, freaks me out to see how big Pierce looks.

Thank you Brittany for helping a girl out!

And if anyone else is counting down with me....only 3 days left! Heeeeeey!

Nice long weekend

The Memorial Day weekend, the official kickoff to summer....

Perfect time to finally get to the pool.

Or was it?

Um yeah, with the the abnormally cool Spring we've had, the water temps were too much for the kids. They did their best, but only lasted about 20 minutes.

The rest of the time they spent outside the water

And in general discomfort.

So my grand idea of swimming the weekend away was a bust.

So what then?

No swimming, yet still a nice weekend...

Thankfully I've got this husband who thinks of things I never would entertain.

And thankfully we've got these two kids open to most anything.

 Ahhhh, fishing. A real blast.

Like for 10 minutes, then the boredom sets in.

Pierce must have moved his line 27 times.

And Hope found other things to occupy her time.

Like sunning...

Or breaking into random dance.

But there's no need to pay attention when you have a daddy that takes care of your line for you.

He's a good daddy.

And as far as me?

I was there to cheer on and give moral support from the sidelines.  And complain.

You know, just doin' what I do.

I was actually kind of sad at the start of the weekend, we had no plans and I was just all mopey about it.

But I eventually got over the pity party and just enjoyed my family.

Thankful for a nice long weekend, and that I only have 5 more working days! HOLLA!

How will I ever choose?

I'm in a predicament.

You see, I have all these great pictures of Hope.

So many in fact

That I have no idea how I will ever choose.

I mean, seriously.

I know I'm biased.

But good grief.

Brittany does such a good job.

She definitely has a gift!

And I adore how she captured Hope so well.

Just Hope being Hope...

And even though I had no intentions in being in the pictures

I'm glad I stepped in for a few.

Thank you Brittany for capturing my children.

I love them.
