You can sponsor this child.

That's right, for just cents a day, you can sponsor this poor pitiful child!!

Yes, this is my dear little Hopie. Click on this photo and you can see what a big ol' mess she is. On Monday Tracey and I went to McDonalds with the kiddos, and while we were there, Hope cracked her head BAD on the table. It immediately swelled up, REALLY BIG. Tracey said she was trying to play it cool, but on the inside was thinking "OMG, THIS IS BAD" Thankfully she is fine. Then Monday night we got together to play and Tracey took this picture, when she sent it to me I couldnt help but think "oh my, look at my little orphan" Dirty, snotty, and a big ol' bump on the head. I guess all pics arent pretty, but I still think she's a cutie ;)

We make em' earn their keep round here.

That's right, we run a tight ship round here, and we don't let these kids get away with nothin'.....

In all seriousness....Pierce LOVES when his dad says "son, you have a job" I can actually see Pierce's chest "puff up" and he thinks he's a "big man" So, when Paul said, "you can go rake the grass" he couldn't wait!!! (I know this will change one day) Of course, Hope has to be a part of it, much to Pierce's dismay. Here's a look at our little workers....

"Ewwww, this is kind of icky"
Strong boy!!

I love this one..he's surveying his work!!

Freedom Parade with the Lee's

Jami had the idea that we should take all the kids to a parade, so Saturday morning we headed to downtown Jeff, for the "Freedom Parade." The weather was perfect. Overcast, so it wasn't too hot, but the rain did hold off!! There was lots of candy thrown, bands, floats, old cars, service men and women and even the officers who had been shot. The kids really enjoyed themselves. They loved waving and clapping, and running after candy!! It was a very fun time and I'm glad Jami suggested it!! Looks like we have another tradition!!!!

As I type away, it's raining outside, bummer. I hope it stops soon. We have food to put on the grill and fireworks to set off, Pierce is so excited!! Remember, freedom is not free....that also goes for spiritual freedom.....thank someone who serves/has served, and thank the Lord.

Waiting.
Waiting on the BEARS blanket...whatever ;)

Pierce looks thrilled.

My little patriot.

Cooper loved the parade!!

Watching....

more watching....

watching and waving...

and more watching...

Just some of our loot.

And no day would be complete without Hope ending up in tears. She did great until the "Sunny Side of Louisville" balloon float went by. That sucker put out some serious heat, and I guess she thought she was gonna go down in a blaze of glory with that float.

Fireworks in Corydon with the Murphy's

Friday night, we headed out to Corydon for some dinner with the Murphy's and then some fireworks. First, let me give a shout out to Melanie, for yet another AWESOME meal. Fall of the bone ribs, made from scratch corn dogs, an incredible salad, potato's, and deviled eggs!!

After dinner we headed out to Corydon Country Club for some fireworks. For some reason they always do it on Fridays...anyways, after a trek up what felt like Mt. Everest, we got out our seats, and hung out and waited. Fireworks did not begin until 10:15.....they were well worth the wait!! They lasted for 30 minutes and were incredible!!! We were all were having a GREAT time....well, except for Hope. She was TERRIFIED. So terrified, she buried her head in my chest and then fell asleep trying to escape. I couldn't believe she could sleep through it. The grand finale did wake her up, and then she says "I wuved it"

Overall, a great night!!!! We've determined it's a new tradition.

Getting in some swing action at Matt and Mel's house.

Hammock time....

The beginning of the 'hike'

What is it with kids and their cheesy smiles at this age?!?

Fear beginning to set in....

Addie, such a pretty baby.

Marching around like she owned the joint...however, few minutes later in fetal position.

Of course daddy gave in and bought some "glow" stuff!!!

HAPPY FOURTH ONE AND ALL!!!
