Happy Birthday To Me!!!

So today is my 35th birthday!!! Incredible. Just 5 more years and I'm 40....sigh....

It was a good day. We went to visit one of Paul's aunts. Hung out as a family, and then Paul and I went out-just the two of us-on a date!!! Whoopie!!! We went into Grand Rapids, did some shopping, and then had dinner at T.G.I Fridays. It was a good day.

So, today was the day. The day that thousands of men, get out and show what manliness they are made of. Can't you just heat the testosterone ooze?

Paul and his dad were in their spots perched by 6:30, and Paul had two bucks by 9:00....and Paul got his biggest buck yet, 7 points, 18 inch spread, dressed at 170. What a man.

When they pull up to the house, Pierce was jumping around like a little mad man. It excites him to no end. Of course he had his time to "kill" the deer as well.

Have I mentioned, I CANT BELIEVE I MARRIED A HUNTER???

Tracey sent me up to Michigan with a different bag to open each day!!! My birthday falls during the week, and she said she wanted to do something fun for me while I was away, and what fun it is!!! I look forward to seeing what little treasure awaits me each morning!!!!

Just like the last two years, we have come up to Michigan so Paul can hunt with his dad on opening day. Tomorrow is opening day, and it's like Christmas Eve here. Thought I'd share what we've been doing so far.

We went to Paul's grandmas today and Pierce was able to shoot her 22, what big stuff!!!!

Of course Paul had to show what he's made of, being a man's man and all....he blew up a jug that was 300 yards away. What a man ;)

Then Paul had to get the leaf party started....

Helloooooo Tooth Fairy

Well my sweet little boy LOST HIS FIRST TOOTH!!!! Here's the super funny thing, HE SWALLOWED IT!!! So now picture us trying to find his tooth and then finally coming to the conclusion that he ingested it, oh man. Oh, and then trying to explain that the tooth fairy doesn't have to have a tooth to leave money...but daddy to the rescue...he "made" a tooth out of tape and told Pierce that the fairy would take this instead and he'd still get his money!! Smart daddy :) Of course I'm a little sad that I don't have his first tooth for keepsake, I guess I'll just have to settle for tooth number 2 ;)

Hope kept telling me "Hopie lost a tooth" Silly girl :)
