As of 2:12 this afternoon, you will officially be six!
I do believe we started counting down around February, so I know how excited you are about this day!
Of course it's exciting for mommy too, but it also makes me cringe a little bit.
I love watching you grow, but I also want you to stay little.
This last year has been a big one for you.
With your biggest adventure being kindergarten.
Being in school full-time has been a big adjustment for you. It's not that you don't do well, because you do, it's just been hard for you to be away from mommy.
You and I have always been attached at the hip, so sometimes the separation has been really difficult for you.
But your teacher always raves about you, and I'm amazed at the changes you've made in just one school year. You are tackling reading and math like it's no big deal!
You take pride in your friendships and the fact that you've never moved your clip down for bad behavior. Your daddy and I take pride in that too. Trust me, we are very proud of how well you have done in your kindergarten year.
You really do keep daddy and mommy on their toes, and sometimes all we can do is look at each other and laugh.
You are a seriously funny child.
Bu you know how I would best describe what you add to this family? Hope, you add spice.
And I am so thankful for that flavor and spice. I pray that you always live life with your trademark zest, vigor, and sass, and that nothing slows you down.
Hope, I pray for you. I pray for you physically, emotionally, relationally, mentally, and spiritually.
And I pray that you understand that God has big plans for your life.
Hope Elizabeth, I thank God for you and cannot wait to watch you flourish this next year!
Happy birthday, baby girl!
I love you,
