A tradition was born three years ago when four grown women decided we needed to get together on Thanksgiving Eve and watch the Twilight movies. Sadly, last year the Twilight series ended, but we decided that our tradition must still live on...
We tossed around a few ideas of what to do, but our fearless leader Jaime came through for us.
She suggested that we all get together and go to one of those painting thingies. I thought that sounded like a great idea, especially since I had never been to one before. Jaime invited her friend Shauna to join us, so now Shauna is part of the 'Thanksgiving Eve crew.'
Up until like the day before we went I kept telling people that I was going to a place called sips n' stokes.
I mean there were strokes...
But I was totally wrong.
Not gonna lie, I was sweating how I would manage this, because I have ZERO artistic talent. Thankfully there was at least a little start to the painting...
And little did I know I would be painting next to Picaso who won an art contest in the third grade. (But I'm thinking her mom was the judge.)
We eventually got down to business.
And it was fun!
Especially to watch it come together before your very eyes.
Some may have come together a little better than others.
But overall I think we all did a pretty good job!
I really had a great time!
But I mostly just loved being with my friends...
Oh and for anyone wondering, it's actually called UPTOWN ART.
But I totally like sips n' strokes better.
