A great season

When we moved to Bowling Green nearly three years ago, I had many questions:

Where will the kids go to school?

Where will we go to church?

Will anyone like me?

And then the super important questions like:

Are the malls any good?

WHO WILL DO MY HAIR?

All the questions seemed to eventually work themselves out, but there were a few things I just wasn't sure about.

Like, what league should I put Pierce in for baseball? I know in the scheme of life that's a minor thing, but a big deal to a little boy. But I was clueless, and for two years he did nothing.

Last time he played was 2010.

Just a little 5 year old.

Of course I eventually met people here who steered me in the right direction, (BRITTANY!) and for the first time in nearly three years, Pierce played real baseball. We did get his feet wet in the fall league, but that league was nothing like this.

And it's been an adjustment for all of us.

Well maybe not that big of an adjustment for this one.

It's actually just one big party for her.

And I think she's gonna miss it!

And for us?

Not gonna lie, at times it's been a struggle. OR MAYBE I'M JUST REFERRING TO ME.

This is the first time that I've watched my child deal with pressure.

And on many occasion there were tears.

As a protective mommy I wanted him to quit and take up knitting

But here's something I've learned, he's tougher than I give him credit for.

In the last two months he's had many a tough game, but also many a great game, and it's been fun to witness.

And I'm so thankful for the encouraging coaches that have made this season great.

This weekend begins the playoffs, and no matter the outcome it's been a great season! (Pierce holding third game ball of the season, I know you grandparents would like that information.)

What fantastic pictures you took! Sports is stressful but I think more so on us parent's than the kids.
