My post here, might get on certain peoples nerves. (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!) Those who say that Thanksgiving should have it's time in the spotlight-THEN CHRISTMAS. While, I think it's a valid point. I ignore it. Completely.
I'm a Christmas lover, and I make no apologies for it. PLUS, we travel so much over the next couple months, that I just want it up, so I can enjoy it while we are here.
This is by far the earliest our tree has ever been up.
We ordered a new one, since we threw ours out last year, and Paul wanted to "check the lights" so up it went, and up it has stayed.
Since we leave Wednesday for Michigan, we decided to get everything all decorated this weekend.
And these two right here, thankfully they still appreciate and love my Christmas obsession, and were ready to get this party started!
Wait a minute.
Back-up-the-Christmas-fun-train.
Friday I went to volunteer at school, and when I walked into Pierce's class he looked terrible! He was sitting at his desk, holding his head and wearing his coat inside. I immediately went into mom-mode, and we left for home, I could tell this was the real deal. One doctor visit later, and another diagnosis of strep throat. AGAIN.
Even though he felt bad, he kept pushing to decorate the tree, but quickly petered out.
But Hope was going strong!
I try really hard to just let them do as they see fit, but it's hard for me, but I keep trying....
Thankfully, after the ibuprofen started to kick in, Pierce was up to decorating some more.
And even Paul. I must say, I love that he doesn't mind my neurotic Christmas obsession. I know a lot of men would gripe, but he's good about it.
So, this was the tree last night, and I just thought it needed something else...(I usually do a ribbon, but I decided against it this year. )
So today, I went and got this meshy looking stuff, that sort of resembles something you might wash yourself with.
And just spun it around the tree...
What do you think? With or without it?
OH LOOK! I even put some stuff on the porch! So all my neighbors can comment on what crazies we are. HOLLA!
Haters gonna hate, but I AM HAPPY.

Beautiful tree!! I think it is what makes a person happy when to decorate. I would decorate early like my son did in his room but I really don't want to have to fight Madelyn with the tree!!
I LOVE it!!!!
I know I give you a hard time, but I do love this. By next weekend I will be doing a similiar post.
I like the new touch you added. And, I am just jealous that you are already done. I've already warned jeff that next Saturday this is our task :)
Hope your boy is feeling better...he has had a tough fall battling strep.
Well I'm a 'Liker' so you get a thumbs up from me. You know that I have already decorated (minus the tree because we're going away) because I too LOVE Christmas!! We don't have Thanksgiving here, but I totally understand you putting your tree up early :)
It looks pretty btw, and if you're anything like me, I DO love to let the kids adorn the tree with their creativity but geez it sets me into anxiety mode lol I may be a little bit of a perfectionist with our tree lol
Thanks for showing the photo of the fire engine ornament. :) I like the tree with the "wrap". We're so looking forward to seeing you guys this week! We're praying all will be healthy by then! And of course, I'm looking forward to the three of you decorating our little tree. :)
Love the bright color of your mesh. And although I will not put up a tree before thanksgiving I have been tempted to get some things out already this year. Very much in the mood.
You need a bigger topper of some kind with your big mesh
I NEVER put mine up before Thanksgiving. We are thinking of camping the weekend after Thanksgiving so I thought about getting it out this weekend. My problem is that I will get tired of it if I get it out too early. :)
Hater right here! Hater right here! Your tree is gorgeous...but c'mon...you're killing me... :)
I love it! And the mesh looks great! :)
Meshy stuff looks great!!! Love, love, love this time of year!
