The lake life.
And just a little freaky for this neurotic mother.
When I watch my kids JUMP into that water and watch their little heads go under the water, I stop breathing for approximately 17 seconds.
But never fear, even I eventually give in and try it. Even if I'm fearing a water borne illness or freaky snake might get me.
But let me back up.
This sweet family right here, offered up a weekend of fun in the sun for our small group.
And we jumped at that offer.
There were five families that joined.
Of the 21 people there, 11 were kids, so we're talking jet engine loud at times.
But as loud and crazy as it got at times, it was equally just as much fun.
We all agree that it feels like a vacation destination there.
I thought we were in Florida a couple times, certainly not Kentucky!
With the ultimate prize being this...
This is about one step under Christmas day fun.
Each kid was clamoring to do it
Over and over again.
But there were moments that looked like annoyance.
These two together are like a little old married couple, either eating or looking annoyed. This is typical Hope and Luke.
But probably the momma's favorite part about the lake?
You can always guarantee that the lull of the boat going up and down on the water will produce sweet snuggles and usually sleeping babies.
I love getting to know everyone, and I love watching the kids make memories that I hope they never forget.
I'm blessed with great friends!
So sentimentally thankful for a great weekend.
Summer is quickly coming to an end.
Until next time....
