Merry memories.

It's December people. It's time to make as many MERRY MEMORIES, as possible. HOLLA. (Which BTW, now that I'm the mother-in-charge of said merry memory making, this stresses me, and sends me into a flop-sweat. But we shall ignore that factoid.)

First up, spending some much needed time with our friends.

We haven't seen much of our friends lately, and we have missed each other!

But the main goal of the night was to put together a gingerbread house. Not too complicated, right? But I must have read those directions 32 times.

The direction-part of my brain never formed.

But I was getting it.

Along with Britt's help.

Cute, right?

Er. Oops.

But after a repair-job or two, we were in business, with a chocolate roof too boot!

THIS is what the kids were pumped about!

And they were pretty cute doing it.

Not exactly what the box looked like, but cute none-the-less.

And my objective of the night, was to get a picture of the kids once it was all said and done.

Let me just express my frustration with the camera. If you do not use the flash, you end up with kind of blurry pics....

If you do use the flash, shadows are cast. I know the best pics, are with natural, outdoor light.  But what do you do when you are indoors? Any advice appreciated.

But I will declare the first December memory-making adventure a success!

Proof is in the marshmallow booty!

I soo have the same problem with directions. So much in fact that when I was at the store yesterday and saw the gingerbread house kits I promptly grabbed the box next to them that held 2 dimensional flat gingerbread men for my boys to decorate! I am an awesome mother who can not be bothered to read directions!! :)
