The loud sobs will be from G.

The family is still here, and we've been in serious game mode here.

My in-laws, are big into card games, and they taught us a new game, called 3-13.

And God bless them, for attempting to teach me how to play it too. You see, my brain never developed the, card-game-cortex portion, and well, I just struggle. But they are sweet, and humor my incompetence.

But the GREAT thing about them loving games so much?

The kids get TONS of playtime.

They have been so sweet, just to play games with them, over and over.

We are all in for a rude awakening, when we have to roll out of bed and head back to school. Blah.

In addition to games and nail painting, Meemaw showed up here with a few fun tricks up her sleeve.

We attempted one of these with Brittany, but mainly we ended up with a mess that time!

This time, we were determined to do it up fancy!

Kids were in it to win it, and doing a bang-up-job!

But no event is complete without some sort of meltdown at some point.

Nor is an event complete without Paul attempting to take inappropriate pictures of me.

Mother-in-law to the rescue to appropriately document that I was there too.

Thank you, Pam.

All meltdowns and inappropriate pictures aside

Our tree turned out pretty cute.

And for the first time ever, we allowed the kids to stay up and ring in the new year with us. But being the CLEVER parents we are, we counted down on EST. Kids thought they were tough stuff, and we got to bed an hour earlier! HOLLA.

It's been such a fun Christmas break, but reality is calling our names. I'm craving my routine, but yet, I'm not looking forward to the responsibility that comes along with it. So, the loud sobs you hear, are more than likely from G.

I'm just glad to see that B-rad is no the only one that takes inappropriate pics. Sigh....
Card games are NOT my strong suit either so I feel your pain!

I'm not a card player either. That tree is cute, neat idea.
I'm ready for a routine, but not school again.
